About Us

At Okanagan Clinical Trials, we specialize in conducting research studies for the pharmaceutical industry. In the 12 years we've been in operation, we have studied many different illnesses. Some of these include: depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, Parkinson's disease, obesity, headache, diabetes, pre-menstrual dysphoria, chronic pain and insomnia.

In all cases, our goal is to provide a positive experience for the many patients who volunteer to participate in our trials. We go out of our way to make sure our facility is comfortable and welcoming. We know that success often lies in the little things. That is why at Okanagan Clinical Trials, we make sure patients aren't kept waiting for appointment times, but are seen quickly and given time to ask questions and address concerns.

Investigators

Dr. Paul Latimer

Paul Latimer has over 25 years experience in clinical practice, research and administration. After obtaining his medical degree from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, he did psychiatric training at Queen's, Oxford and Temple Universities. After his residency he did a doctorate in medical science at McMaster University where he was also a Medical Research Council of Canada Scholar. Since 1983 he has been practicing psychiatry in Kelowna, BC where he has held many administrative positions and has done numerous clinical trials. He has published many scientific papers and one book on the psychophysiology of the functional bowel disorders. He is an avid photographer, skier and outdoorsman.

Dr. Sally Godsell

Sally Godsell has held a vibrant family practice in the Okanagan since 1986 and loves being a part of this community. She received her medical degree from the University of Ottawa and was a flight surgeon with the Canadian Air Force for several years before settling in Kelowna. She has advanced training in aviation medicine, addiction medicine, obstetrics and surgical assistance. Sally enjoys skiing, hiking, snowmobiling and anything involving time spent in the outdoors.
